Put the QR poster on your counter and see it working with your own customers — before you commit to anything.
Forecourt checks the DVSA every 15 minutes and messages your customer when their MOT result is published — pass or fail, with exactly what it failed on. Branded as your garage. No ring-round, no chasing, no reading results down the phone — a whole lot less admin for your front desk.
No new software to learn and nothing to remember on a busy MOT day. You capture the reg, Forecourt watches the DVSA and does the rest.
Send us your logo and colours. We set up the messages to come from your garage’s name — a one-off, done before you go live.
Add the reg and an email at booking, or let the customer scan a QR code on your counter to opt in themselves. Takes seconds.
Forecourt checks for the official result automatically — you don’t lift a finger. We poll the DVSA every 15 minutes, so within a quarter of an hour of your tester logging it, we’ve got it.
As soon as we pick it up, your customer gets a branded message in your name — a fail with exactly what it failed on, a pass with a “ready to collect” note in your words.
We give you a printable poster and job-card sticker carrying a QR code — your own on a paid plan, ours on the free one. The customer scans it, taps in their reg and email, and they’re signed up — no data entry for your team at all. Perfect for a busy front desk.
Works alongside whatever booking system you already use — nothing to install, nothing to replace.
Your logo, your colours, your sending name — on every message. Our team sets it all up, so it reads like it came from your front desk. As far as your customer is concerned, it did.
The result within 15 minutes of the DVSA publishing it. No phoning round to read out results.
Every defect in writing, categorised — dangerous, major, minor and advisory. Completely transparent: they know exactly what needs fixing, no one has to read it out over the phone, and it doubles as a quote-ready list of work.
Start on the free Partner plan — put the QR poster out and see it working with real customers at no cost and no risk. Only pay when you’re ready to put your own name on it.
Your own branded result email in your name, for one flat monthly fee. Pick 200, 500 or 1,000 emails a month — no per-message charges on any of them, and your team never reads a result down the phone again.
A happy customer who has just been told their car sailed through is the best moment you’ll ever get to ask. Add a review request to the pass email — Google, Trustpilot or wherever you want them.
Not a mock-up: both of these are rendered by the same code that sends your email, so what you read here is what your customer gets. Your name and your colours, with the outlined blocks the parts you write yourself. Everything else comes straight off the test. (“Ashfield Motors” is just an example — it would be you.)

The advisories are the official DVSA ones, printed exactly as the tester recorded them. Everything outlined is yours: the standing message that goes out on every pass, and the review block, which only appears at all if you give us somewhere to send people.

Every defect is printed word for word as the DVSA recorded it — wording, inspection-manual reference and all — graded dangerous, major, minor or advisory. Nobody at your front desk reads it down the phone, and the customer has a quote-ready list of work in their inbox.
The test itself is the smallest job you’ll do on that car all year. The result email is your one guaranteed moment of the customer’s full attention — so it doesn’t just tell them what happened, it asks for the next job while they’re still thinking about the car.
The email is a shop window you get to write yourself. Service packages, an air-con re-gas, a winter safety check, tyres, brakes, cambelts, diagnostics, a summer holiday check-over — whatever you want in front of customers goes in the email, in your words, on every result you send. It lands while the car is fresh in their mind and they already trust you with it.
IncludedThis is the part that goes out every single time — a clean pass with nothing flagged is still a customer sitting in front of your list of services. A full service, an air-conditioning re-gas, brakes, tyres, cambelt, diagnostics: your standing message, in your own words, in front of every MOT customer you have. You write it once and it sells all year.
IncludedA customer who has just read the words “your car passed” is the most well-disposed they will ever be towards you. That is the moment to ask — not a week later. The pass email asks for you, every single time, and points them straight at Google, Trustpilot or wherever you want the rating to climb.
IncludedEvery one of these is in the standard plans. Ask us for the wording you want and we’ll set it up — then it runs on every result you send, without anyone at your front desk having to remember to ask.
Start free, then pick the plan that matches how many MOTs you do. No per-message charges and no long contract — billed monthly, cancel anytime.
The monthly plans cover the branded result email, and that suits most garages. Beyond that we build around whatever you actually want — SMS text messaging, photo attachments on the defect list, a proper customer database of your own, generative AI writing and answering your messages, extra branches, your own sending domain. Tell us how you’d like it to work and we’ll scope it and price it for you.
Tell us what you need →Forecourt is transient by design. Your customer’s email address is used once — to send their result on the day of the test — and then deleted from our systems automatically. We keep no customer lists and build no marketing database.
Which means there is nothing for you to do about it. No customer data sitting with a third party in your name, so nothing to export, nothing to leak, no retention policy to write, no data-processing agreement to chase us for, and no subject-access request anyone can send you about a list we don’t hold. You take the same consent at booking that you already take to phone them — and on GDPR you are compliant by default, without adding a single line to your paperwork or thinking about it again.
On the paid plans, no — they’re completely white-label. Every message goes out under your garage’s name, logo and colours, and your customer has no idea a third party is involved. On the free plan it works the other way round: your customers sign up to the MOT AI app through our QR code, so those messages come from MOT AI rather than from you, and your garage is not named in them at all.
Plenty aren’t: drop-offs, while-you-wait customers who’ve nipped out, and fleets. And it isn’t just the result — it’s the whole defect list in writing, in your branding, so nothing depends on catching them at the counter or repeating it down the phone.
We watch the official DVSA MOT record for the vehicle and pick up the result automatically within 15 minutes of it being published there — the same source the government uses. You just give us the registration; you never have to log a result yourself.
None. Add the reg and an email at booking, or let the customer scan your QR poster to sign themselves up. It sits alongside whatever systems you already use, and there is nothing to install and nothing to replace.
No. You pay one flat monthly fee for your plan — 200 result emails a month on Starter, 500 on Standard, 1,000 on Volume. Nothing is charged per message, there is nothing to top up, and you can move between plans or cancel at any time.
Nothing breaks, and nobody gets cut off. Every plan has 10% headroom built in — 220 on Starter, 550 on Standard, 1,100 on Volume — so a busy month is simply a busy month. Your customer always gets their result: we would never hold back someone’s MOT result over a billing threshold. If you are regularly past the headroom we’ll get in touch about moving you up a plan, and you can change plan whenever you like.
There isn’t one. You display our QR poster and your customers sign up to the MOT AI app themselves, so it costs you nothing and there’s nothing to set up. They get their result when it’s published, which means fewer people ringing you to ask. The trade-off is that those messages come from MOT AI rather than being branded as your garage — that’s what the paid plans add.
Yes — start on the free Partner plan and see the system working with your own customers at no cost. Put the QR poster on the counter and watch the results land; only pay when you want your own name on the emails.
That’s most of the point. Every email prints the official DVSA advisories in full, and underneath them sits your standing message offering to put them right — along with a service that’s due, an air-conditioning re-gas, or whatever else you want pushed. It is one message and it goes out on every pass, so it’s written to cover both the car with three advisories and the clean one with none. Tell us how you’d like it worded and we’ll set it up.
On the pass email, right under the result — the moment your customer has just read that their car sailed through, which is the best chance you will ever get to ask. It points them at Google, Trustpilot or wherever you want the rating to build, and it goes out on every pass without your front desk having to remember.
No — and that’s deliberate. The contact detail exists in our system only long enough to send the result message, then it’s deleted automatically the same day. If no result has appeared by 8pm — say the test gets rescheduled — your customer gets one email saying so, with a link to sign up again on the day, and the detail is deleted then instead. We keep a simple count of messages sent for billing, with no names, numbers or addresses attached. If you do want a customer database of your own to market from, that’s something we can build you as a bespoke extra — but it’s never the default, and it would be yours, with the consent and the responsibility handled properly on your side.
You capture the customer’s contact detail and consent as part of taking the booking — the same as you would to phone them. We use it once, to send the MOT result message, and then delete it — no copies, no lists, no marketing. Because nothing is retained there is no database in your name to govern: no retention policy to write, no processing agreement to negotiate, and nothing for anyone to request a copy of. You’re compliant by default. We can also provide the wording for your QR sign-up so the consent itself is clean and documented.
Usually within a day of getting your logo and colours. Send us those and tell us how you want the emails worded, and we’ll have you sending branded results the same week.
